The map of Bangladesh below shows the known locations of the projects. GK facilities are primarily located in Savar which is quite close to Dhaka - although they plan to locate their projects in North Bengal - in the Rangpur/Dinajpur area. If you are wondering about the focus on North Bengal, that is where my parents come from and that is the region with which I am most familiar with. And in the beginning, it is usually best to stick to familiar territory!
I do not have a sense of where the BRAC project villages might be located. Because of transportation costs, we discussed trying them out in villages that are closer to Dhaka.
