World Food Program Fundraiser
When everyone gives a little, it can make a world of difference.
As you may know, we are experiencing a global food crisis, and third-world countries are the hardest hit. In just three years, the prices of staple foods like wheat, corn, and rice, have practically doubled. Now, when the world needs it most, the United Nation’s World Food Program is having trouble raising enough funds to meet their beneficiaries' needs.
To raise both awareness about and money for this "silent tsunami of hunger" we urge you to join us in a widespread fundraising effort for the World Food Program (WFP).
This is a fundraiser by kids and for kids that benefits the WFP’s School Lunch Program. The idea is simple: If everyone contributes a little—just 25 cents, enough to buy lunch for a poor student in a developing nation—we can make a big difference. We will provide you with all the information and materials needed to hold a successful fundraiser at your school. Below are step-by-step directions and sample letters, handouts, and posters that you can use to hold a fundraiser at your own school.
